BVY Local Dashboard

An internal project workspace for BVY Renovations LLC

BVY Local Dashboard helps authorized BVY personnel organize projects, tasks, OneDrive folder links, and invoice information from the company's authorized QuickBooks Online account. It is intended for BVY's internal use and is not a public customer portal or a service offered to other QuickBooks companies.

Launch On your authorized computer, open the installed BVY Dashboard folder and run Start Dashboard.cmd. Then open http://127.0.0.1:43127 in your usual browser. The application runs on that computer; this public information page does not contain your projects, invoices, or connection credentials.

Connect or reconnect QuickBooks In the local dashboard, select QuickBooks sync and follow Set up connection. The owner authorizes the private app through Intuit's OAuth process and enters the resulting connection values only into the local setup form. Choose a strong connection password, verify the displayed company, and enable its invoices. After a server restart, unlock the saved connection to resume updates.

The server refreshes invoice data approximately every 15 minutes while it is running and unlocked. A running dashboard browser checks for new snapshots every minute. Internet access is required. Closing the server or sleeping the computer stops updates. The app reads invoices and their remaining balances; it does not create or change QuickBooks accounting records. Intuit's Accounting authorization scope itself grants broader capabilities than the app uses.

Disconnect In the local dashboard, select QuickBooks sync, then Remove local connection. This stops server syncing and deletes its saved encrypted credentials and server snapshot. Existing browser snapshots and downloaded backups remain until the owner separately removes them. To revoke the app's Intuit authorization as well, remove BVY Local Dashboard from the connected-apps area in QuickBooks Online.
